ASCA National Model

  • What has changed?
  • How does it impact the work of the school counselors?
  • Best practices for the 4th Edition

You have made the decision to implement the ASCA National Model, but where do you start? In this workshop, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the ASCA National Model and the framework of a comprehensive school counseling program: Define, Manage, Deliver and Assess. Discover how to align your school counseling program with the mission of the school and district and effectively demonstrate change in student outcomes.

RAMP

  • What do I need to know about the RAMP process?
  • How, as a school, do I assess our readiness level?
  • What steps do I take depending where my team is on a readiness continuum?

Are a number of schools in your district close to or interested in applying for the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP)? Bring daylong training to your location, and help your schools learn what they need to do to put it all together and apply for RAMP.

The RAMP application process should be the culmination of the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program, which typically takes three-five years to implement. Once a school has a program in place, it will need at least one entire academic year to collect the data and information needed to fulfill the RAMP application requirements. Your trainer will guide you through the application requirements and process. You’ll gather tips and suggestions about how to approach the process and collect data and how to submit your school counseling program through the online submission portal.

Lunch will be provided.

Participants will earn 5.5 Professional Development Hours.
