There is a unique and undeniable link between depression, mental health and suicide. This supports the idea that effective mental health education IS suicide prevention - particularly depression education. With a changing world, a global pandemic, the start of the holidays and darker shorter days, now is the time to focus on supporting young people’s mental health. Teens were already struggling with high levels of stress, anxiety, depression and suicide. Social isolation may make it worse. This webinar will look at teen depression today and highlight the free and flexible classroom programs and resources for middle and high school students. The programs take a hopeful, authentic and empowering approach for young people to learn about taking care of their mental health.
